Events

The Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry is host to several events throughout the year.

Our Run Against Hunger occurs each year at the end of October. It's the perfect warm-up to the Santa Clarita Valley Marathon.

The Adopt-a-Family program kicks off each year after Thanksgiving. In 2005, the SCV Food Pantry partnered with the Los Angeles County Sheriffs and other local non-profits in the Holiday Toy Drive to distribute grocery store gift cards to families in need.

Each year, we team with the Rotary club to provide Thanksgiving turkeys to families around Santa Clarita.

The National Association of Letter Carriers hosts a food drive in mid-May. This food drive is critical to Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry receiving donations necessary to carry our clients through the summer months when donations are slowest and the kids are out of school. The 2006 food drive resulted in 32 tons of food being donated to the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry!
