History of the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry
1985 - Present
In 1985 a group of concerned Santa Clarita Valley residents established the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry to address growing food insecurity in our community.

Established as a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry began operating out of the back of a local church.
The Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry has been serving our community out of our current facility on Railroad Avenue since in 2002, where we remain to this day.

In 2006 the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry expanded, adding Mobile Senior Outreach Programs, allowing low-income seniors to receive food assistance at designated Senior Apartments in our community.

The Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry proudly serves around 10,000 clients each month from our current facility. In addition to our main location, our Mobile Outreach Services extend food assistance to nine remote sites, ensuring that we reach those in need throughout the community.
